New EX raid wave just in small towns?
We got lot of reports from small towns in my area about EX raid invitation, but not a single report from the city I live in (200k people, more than 100 gyms).
What is happening?

I live near a city with a population of about 260K people, we've been a part of the first two field tests at Sprint/Starbucks locations. This morning we found out that people in town got Ex-raid passes to a gym tucked away in the back corner of the Botanical Gardens on a college campus. It's easily the least trafficked gym in the gardens. I last raided a Lugia there in August (but did not receive a pass). Their passes still say "field testing", so as someone pointed out they might be testing capabilities for non-wifi locations.
I was thinking more along the lines of coordination, ie, adjusting schedules, finding baby sitter, etc. Reduces the chance that only 2 people show up. In a city, that's not a problem.
I also wonder if choosing low traffic gyms was a way to test system capabilities while simultaneously reducing risk of absolutely crashing their system. Maybe it was only coincidence that low traffic gyms are rural as we are seeing "in-city" gyms getting invites too.
