The new event has started?

When I opened the app several minutes ago, I saw the loading screen "change" from Christmas to fireworks with the Gen 2 Pokémon just at 15:38 PST. Also the shop sales bronze/silver/gold boxes instead of the special/great/ultra boxes.

The bronze box contains 100 poké balls and 8 lure modules for 460 coins, originally costs 1140 coins. The silver box contains 8 incenses, along with 8 lucky eggs and 8 lure modules for 980 coins, originally costs 1680 coins. The gold box contains 50 great balls and 25 incenses, with 25 lucky eggs and 16 lure modules, only 2480 coins, originally costs 4530 coins!

Though, I haven't discovered the starter spawns yet, only caught one eevee today.
