a negative kilometer number with my buddy

I meet a weird bug about the buddy distance today. I walked a long enough distance but the yellow buddy circle didn't show any progress. By clicking the buddy page I just found the current kilometer number is negative. I swapped another buddy then everything went normal. I just wonder whether anyone else had the same bug before?

This is fairly common. Occasionally the buddy system glitches and grants you more than the usual 1 candy, adjusting the distance to a negative value to compensate. As you've discovered, it's easily fixed by swapping your buddy.

Glitch, swap back and forth to start from 0 km again and have you rewarded with a free candy.
