Need an opinion on which entei to power up?

I have 2 good enteis:
1) 1918 CP (14-A/15-D/14-H)
2) 1916 CP (15-A/13-D/14-H)
since overheat is the best move for entei, it has maximum attack break point at at lvl 40 only if attack is 15. So should I power up my 15 attack entei (but it has low defense stat) or power-up my over 1918 (overall good) entei.

NOTE: I have enough TMs to change moves so i can keep the best move possible. So what moveset should I keep and which entei should I power up?

Please need a help to decide?

Breakpoints on charge moves are irrelevant and depends on defender as well. Don't make your decision based on that.

The real question you need to ask is, "Do I really need Entei right now?". Fire types aren't particularly valuable at the moment, and I'll take a guess that you already have a competent Flareon, Charizard, or Arcanine that can handle the limited need. If that's the case, I'd save your stardust.

If you absolutely have to power one up though, then I'd go with the second one.

I dont have a good Flareon, Charizard, or Arcanine. Never hatched a 90iv, waiting for it all the time. So I need a good fire mon in my team

Funny fact is at lvl 39.5 the 1916 Entei will have the CP of an 100% IV Entei at lvl 39 :) but in PoGO 15 ATk stat is what you need

I would go with the 1918 CP Entei, since it has a better stat distribution than the 1916 CP Entei. The difference between 14 and 15 attack IV is so small, that it hardly matters. With the 1918 CP, Entei will still pack a punch, but will stand a little longer than the 1916 CP Entei, which will also inflict just about the same amount of damage, but will faint faster due to lower defense. So, my pick is definitely the 1918 CP Entei.

Besides, Gen 3 is already rolling out soon, and Metagross is bound to be a prevalent force in the upcoming meta. That's when Fire-type Pokémon, like Entei, will finally become relevant and useful Pokémon to combat the Steel/Psychic menace that is Metagross! ;)

You can take down any gym with no effort, do any raid with no effort, and there's no PvP.

So it doesn't matter which one you power up. Flip a coin.

Unless you are intending to do venusaur raids, I see absolutely no reason to power up a fire Pokemon.

Metagross might change that, but I guess Tyranitar with bite/crunch will do the job as well. Perhaps Tyranitar gets access to better dark moves as well by then. Also Houndoom resists more than Entei due to its dark typing. Perfect event to catch a decent high level Houndour.

I want a all round team of good mons with all types. Its always useful. I never like using 6 ttars or 6 golems. I have a perfect houndoom which I will power up too.

Out of interest, what would be the perfect dark moves to have available for Tyranitar?

There's only one set of Dark moves available to Ttar: Bite/Crunch. Neither of them are particularly good in the grand moves universe. Hoping for better options next gen.

Ideally, out of all the dark moves available in the whole Pokémon pool, what would be the best for Tyranitar to have?
