My water pokemon...

Hi guys,

So.. I am level 27 already and still cannot get a watergun/hydropump pokemon for attacking...

I have been trying for so long...

I have a 100% Gyarados with bite/hydropump... no STAB on bite :(. Evolved two vaporeons but I got water pulse on both.... Evolved two golducks and got confusion/ice beam and watergun/ ice beam.... evolved two starmies to get tackle/hydropump and watergun/psychic... Evolved a poliwrath hoping to get at least a full water moveset but I got mudshot/hydropump..

I am currently walking with an omanyte hoping I finally get the moveset I want...

So my question is... are any of the moves/pokemon on the previous list as good as having a pokemon with watergun/hydropump?

For example,
- I have a 86% psyduck which I would not consider evolving at all...but let's say it gets wg/hp...
- Poliwrath's mudshot is not as bad.. it is quick and gets super effective bonus against rhydon...

Is my 100% gyarados more powerful against a rhydon even when bite is not as good as watergun (considering these pokemons have the same level)?

Your Gyarados will demolish most Rhydon, provided there isn't a huge CP disparity. Bite is just fine, as it generates energy quickly for HP charge moves. Just watch out for Stone Edge.

Seadra is a killer attack fellow equipped with a Hydro pump onboard. Not the top one but it knows its shit. About evolving a Vaporeon — I had literally dozens of Eevees that would go evolve into whatever you say, excepting for the needed Vaper with H. Pump. But on my next mass evolving of like 12-15 Eevees I got boom, boom, boom. One after another there were popping out the Top Vapers. Now I'm stuffed with those like a Turkey on a thanksgiving day lol. Just patience. It will come. And along with V-on another true H. Pump Champion is no doubts an Omastar. I kill Snorlaxes of 3000+ CP with it easily. It's a maniac Pokémon ;)

for what it's worth, Aqua Tail is only slightly less DPS, and actually performs better in actual combat - considering dodging / energy waste from single-bar charge moves.

Lol what? How? I'm in the middle of 29 and have 8 Vaporeons with WG/HP? Just keep evolving those Eevees? That's your most direct route to a WG/ HP pokemon with the highest HP/CP.

Ever crossed your mind that maybe some areas are not that full of Eevees?

keep trying on the vapes. there are plenty of eevees out there. at least where i live...
1/3 on eevee evolutions
and 1/3 on hydro pumps.

next best are:
lapras (no fast water move)
gyarados (also no fast water move)
cloyster (also no fast water move)
omastar
kingler (poor charge moveset for attacking)
tentacruel (also no fast water move)
slowbro (no hydro pump)
poliwrath (no water gun, but bubble is decent and charges HP fast)
blastoise
starmie

really just depends on personal preference. I usually go with gyarados anyways. my vapes are just defenders of the universe.
