My community day started with a "yawn"
And I don't mean the spawn rates!
So a few months back, I was playing around with Pokebattler and I realized that in cloudy weather a team of level 35 Slakings with Y/PR is capable of beating a Machamp raid (which would also be boosted). It has to be cloudy and Dynamic Punch seems to be practically impossible without fainting out. Heavy Slam would be the easiest as it wouldn't even require dodging. I asked on here if anyone had tried it and it seemed that those that responded either didn't believe it, hadn't tried it, or just weren't as fascinated by this as I was. Since then, I've been pinapping every Slakoth I see (they're fairly common where I live) to make this happen.
Opportunity struck today on my way out to hunt for Charmanders. I saw a Machamp raid by my house and figured triple stardust, first catch of the day, and starpiece seemed like a great way to kick off the day. Then the weather switched to cloudy and auto select told me to use my Kyogre so I knew it was on! My team of Slakings is still incomplete as I need 100 more candy and at least one more charge tm, but I wanted to test out what I had and it worked SPLENDIDLY! I won with about 30 seconds left using the team below. The 3 Slakings got machamp into the yellow at about 105 and the Gardevoirs cleaned up. I'll post a video once I complete my goal of soloing Machamp with a full team of Slakings, but for now know that it is most definitely possible.
P.S. The IVs of the Slakings are decidedly mediocre:
King Slack L35 9A/13S/11D
Donkey Kong L35 12/7/9
Lazy Bonez L35 8/12/8
