Muk

I have to agree with this.

Poison is terrible type atm. Muk has no good matchups against any of the top attackers. Current Fairy mons are not top tier, and most of big grass types have dual poison typing. Imo Muk doesnt belong to the list.

Edit: If you look at the top attacker list, Tangela is the best pokemon Muk actually has an advantage against.

It's a bummer. I have a 94 IV Muk with Poison Jab and Gunk Shot, but there is not much point in powering him up, even though that's his best combo defending / attacking moveset.

I agree.. I powered mine up for the express purpose of leaving at gyms that I have just taken down. I like to imagine that the opposing teams in my neighborhood check on the status of "their" gym and instead of their top defender, they see a big pile of amorphous, poisonous slime giving them the finger!

In short, I love Muk, regardless of his status as an attacker or defender. :)

He is weak to ground and psy moves which are very common. Poison Jab is ok but no great.
That's why he is behind Alakazam and Hypno who are only weak to uncommon moves and have the best defensive combo of the game with stab (Conf/Psy).

Yet, it wouldn't be shocking to see Muk in Tier 3. But you really need Dark pulse. He is just behind those listed atm.
