moves not being included in moveset grades question

just curious, how come some moves don't appear under the attacking moveset and defending moveset with grades? for example, i wanted to check how bad my magmar was with karate chop + fire blast but there's no grade for that... only for ember + fireblast or ember + flamethrower. same thing with pidgeot and no combos with air cutter being listed with a grade. is that just because those combos are so terrible that it's not worth giving them a grade? i thought they'd at least be labeled with a F or something like it shows in the moveset grades explanation page

Lol - that just means they're below an F.

An F is a sub-optimal moveset on a decent/good Pokemon. If it's not listed, it means it's a sub-optimal moveset on a sub-optimal Pokemon. For the most part if you only see one set of moves then the Pokemon isn't worth using otherwise. I'm sure they did it in the interest of saving time.

Air Cutter is a horrible charge move. Quite literally worthless b/c it actually has lower DPS than your quick move (and a massive cooldown)....so most DPS calculations just ignore it.

Karate chop isn't horrible on Magmar, but he's just not a great Pokemon to begin with...especially when considering A) he's the worst fully evolved fire Pokemon (although Rapidash is damn close), and B) Fire Pokemon just aren't great in this meta with so many strong Water Mons. So if you're going to use him, you might as well pick the best moveset

Ember is good when taking opponent with a 1.05CD or above quick move, where u can perform 2 embers and dodge just in time. Any opponent with a shorter CD quick move, u will lose either hp, dps or energy charge.
So your move set right now is a good one, considering faster energy charging for the fire blast, and better timing for a dodge battle.
