The most theoretical PvP

State what you think the most realistic PvP Niantic will create and not what you would like to see.

I for one believe Niantic will create a PvP by having trainers battle each other with
-6 Pokémons pvp
-Around 100sec time limit each battle.
-No changing mons, potions & revives usage during the entire battle
-Can not have more then one of the same mon in your party
-Dodging allowed ofc
-Forfeiting the battle

Not related but I think Niantic will not create a chat group app for raids or battles because they definitely do not want to appear on the media for causing the disappearance or kidnapping of a trainer at a meet up as this has occurred in the past especially more common in NYC to my knowledge.

Please add on or correct what you think will happen...thanks

I think they will intro pvp with the gym system, where an alert is sent when your mon is about to be battled (just like when it needs a berry), so you have an option to port in and battle with that mon (so you want to put a good mon in), one battle, winner takes or keeps the spot. I don't think gyms need teams anymore, it is silly. I guess there would be added bonuses if you manage to have all of the same team but whatevs. The gym system past and present sucks.

I like this! Actually pretty interesting. So if a challenger starts fighting a gym, the gym defenders would get a notice, and have the option to fight the the person themselves. An interesting, though truthfully time-consuming, possibility.

I don't think they'll add PvP for a long time.

I think there will be an option for allowing/disallowing legendaries

I agree that it will be a 6v6, holding the similar mechanics to current gyms battles.

However, I disagree with two of your points: the timer and swapping pokemon (I agree with the potions aspect). I'm biased because I would like to see swapping, as it increases the skill gap between two players, favoring the one that knows the type advantages to a greater extent.

l believe either of three things will happen:
1. both the timer and swapping are incorporated (holding true to the current gym parameters)
2. there is no timer

I do not see the reason for having a timer; with raids and gym battles, it rewards pokemon that can output high DPS, and both raids and battles have rewards. If no rewards exist from PvP (other than minimal xp) then I don't see a reason as to why a timer would be implemented? It would favor the team that outputs greater dps, and by doing so, makes the majority of pokemon inferior and nonviable, even those 3rd stage evolutions

Again, I am biased, but if they choose to include a timer, it will come down to who deals the most damage which would narrow the current 300 or so pokemon down to 10 or so viable options.

I can see why including the ability to swap may lead to swap wars, but I think there are more factors involved (who's more adept to typing and can switch faster, and when a player does swap, their opponent must think: should i continue to charge to fire off this charge move and then switch OR just immediately hustle out?) I know I keep drilling at this point, but also consider this. Eventually pokemon will start to faint and counters will begin to disappear in each team's party. Theoretically, I predict a conservation-based mindset, where trainers, once they see what pokemon the other trainer has, may choose to use some more or less liberally, creating an element unique from raids and gym battles

Swapping between your 6-chosen Pokemon should definitely be allowed, otherwise it's just a BS chance situation you gotta deal with where you can't use any strategy, thus making it boring.

With swapping, there could be a cooldown timer, 6-8 seconds in-between swaps. That way you can't swap right away. This would also create a more psychological battle as to where you're trying to anticipate and bait your opponent into choosing something that you're going to counter yourself, thus at the very least dealing some decent damage in that cooldown window.
