Most epic solo raid

Donphan with weather boosted play rough. No weather boost for any of my pokemon.

My Kyogre, three Gyarados' and Exeggcutor died.

My Frenzy plant Venusaur, which i had never previously used, killed it in the very last second. Venusaur had 7hp left.

That was oddly satisfying. What's your most epic raid.

My first win against Machamp. No charge button and lots of dodging required to keep my sub-level 30 team alive. I'm pretty sure I screamed a little when I finally brought him down

A Machamp raid using my alt account at level 25. A mix of Dragonite, Espeon, Lugia, Exeggutor.

Machamp, Arcanine, Genger are easy ones. Vaporeon is hard. Alakazam seems far from doable (needs many high level dark ttar). Flareon and Jolteon are undoable. That's when raids were first introduced, all before button and weather system.

Ah, the early days of raids and the endless debates about how to solo those tier 3's.

First Alakazam. Confusion / future sight moveset, no charge button, no weather boost. Used T-tar, Gengar, T-tar, T-tar, T-tar (last mon was a Scizor that was never used). Won on the fourth try, with zero seconds remaining. T-tars were all L30 except one L32. First and last T-tar (both L30) had B/SE, other two had B/C. Gengar was L34.

On the last try, I swapped out my SC/SB Gengar in favor of a H/SB Gengar. The faster energy gain of hex allowed me to launch an extra shadow ball, which put me over the top. SC/SB is usually better, but not always.

Alakazam is still the most fun T3 boss, IMO, and I wish they would bring him back and make him permanent.

I was never able to do Alazakam, didn't have the T'tars. Wouldn't be quite such a challenge now since we've had Larvitar community day.

Interesting that H/SB Gengar was better in that situation given all the raving about how priceless a SC/SB Gengar is. Smart move.

SC/SB is a great pokemon, but in this case, it kept fainting just as it was about to launch its second shadow ball. With hex, I was able to launch two SB's (almost three) because of the faster energy gain. You sacrifice a lot of quick-move DPS with hex, but the extra SB more than made up for it in this case.

Lucky that Alakazam didn't have FB. I tried one with FB. Ttars are all one-hit killed and no hope to win. I would like to give another try if Alakazam could rotate back, but I guess the chance is low as more and more people have got Mewtwo which is much better.

PC/FB is a pretty easy moveset to beat. No need for T-tars. Ghosts, Scizor, SB Alakazam, and of course Mewtwo are all good. C/FB is the only Alakazam moveset I never did beat, but I should be able to do it comfortably now, if Alakazam ever comes back.

My try was against C/FB. At that time there's no such a thing called ex raid. Should be much easy now.

First Omastar when I was still lvl 33. No frenzy plant and I did not have a ton of double grass eggies.

Closest cut was Omastar since I didn't have the amount of high-level grass counters I have now. SB Groudon, followed by two K-Exeggutor and a Raikou. Finished as the timer hit zero.

For me it would be a weather boosted Alolan Raichu. I came up to the pokestop and saw that there was one person (presumably a spoofer) in so I figured with two people it should be no problem. So I jump in and get my team ready for what I think will be a fairly easy battle when the spoofer quits (presumably to do it solo). So instead of my walk in the park I was left with a nail biter of a fight that I won with three seconds left on the clock.

Donphan also, started with boosted Venusaurs and Exeggs, anchored with a Kyogre, I got enough energy for the Hydro Pump with like 9 seconds left, but saved it and fired off 2 more waterfalls and then the Hydro because with the cooldown time i would not have taken him out in time.

Any of the tough raids before the weather trio. They’ve made raids almost guaranteed soloable on how powerful they are. Groudon and Kyogre can both make some hardly soloable pokes to easy and Ray has fantastic neutral DPS

When raids first came out, i was about level 32. I found a good group quickly, but the allure of the solo drew me in. I had failed against Arcanine and Machamp solo before, but my first success came against Arcanine. I used a maxed (for my level) Golem, a level 30 Golem, level 28 Golem, and a couple low 30s Vaporeon. Barely won and it was awesome! I remember coming here to brag on myself as well! It's comical to think of for easy Arcanine would be if it came back if I could beat it with that rag tag team.

Close second was my first Machamp solo. Alakazam, Espeon, Dragonite, Exeggutor bringing it home. And I got a 96 Machamp which was my first good Machamp and now my second best Machamp!
