That moment when... (EX-raid flop)

You live in the Netherlands and get invited for an EX-raid in Malta. FML

Broken system, should be able to use ex pass wherever there is an ex raid.

I only did one raid during my vacation to avoid anything like this.

I guess you're right. Would make gather people maybe more troublesome however.

The system is not broken. It is working as it was intended to work. He got a raid pass for a raid at a gym at which he had participated in a (presumably) successful raid. I think the system makes a lot of sense. If a player completes a raid at a specific gym the great odds are that that player can easily go back to that specific gym.

Agree that it's working as designed. That, however, does not change the fact that it's a bad design in the first place.

Under this model, I most definitely will not participate in any raids while out of town. I also will not do any semi-local raids in areas where I don't normally frequent. Case in point: I live in the extreme northern suburbs of a major city that's famous for traffic congestion. I don't want my next invite to be for 7:00 PM (still considered rush hour here) in downtown.

Why not? It's not like there is a limit to the number of invites you can get. Most likely when the testing phase ends they will not be simultaneous at different places like now but at different times and dates, so you won't miss out an invitation at your base if you get it someplace else.

You have evidence of that? I've received ONE invite. When there's proof of them being commonplace, then I'll maybe relax my self-imposed restrictions.

you win for the worst invite.

Got mine at a place I visited 3 weeks ago 300 km away. Pretty useless. Considering spoofing for the first time. Any votes?

I've heard so much about Niantic anti cheat, but does it actually work. Bots are still up showing rare Mons with iv, and Spoofers show up at raids.

Some times they do some times they don't. They look into your account and if you have been buying shop items they tend to leave you alone.

I'm sure there will be another opportunity mate. Don't do it. It's very disapointing indeed. Wouldn't you consider driving 300 km on the other hand? :D

"That moment when" you consider spoofing for the 'first time' but shouldn't because Niantic is cracking down on spoofers for the 'first time'.

You could've gotten away with spoofing to the Raid last week but since the warning wave that hit a few days ago, it is just too risky.

Note:
There was a screenie going around on discord with some dude getting two Mewto's slashed (one being perfect). It was latter proved to be a fake. Despite getting the warning, most spoofers confirmed that none of their 'mons were slashed.

Similar thing happened to me. While I was on vacation, I got an invite (the only one I've received to date) for a raid at home. I'm still licking my wounds over that. Doesn't help that everyone in my local raid group now has a Mewtwo while I do not.

I nearly missed my first Ex-raid. Fortunately for me my car blew a spark plug out of the engine and parts of it fell into the piston. So instead of going on my vacation, I was trying to arrange for a new engine to be put in my car. YAY!!! $3000 Mewtwo!
