Moltres counter

Would Omostar WG/Rb be better than Vaporeon WG/A or Hp?

I'm honestly not sure if Omastar's double resistance is going to outweigh the much lessened HP pool compared to Vaporeon. Both going to be top counters, but why not go for a Golem?

Yes. And other better options than Vaporeon such as Golem double rock and Tyra stone edge. Vaporeon at best would be a decent anchor for being tanky

Looking over at pokebattler it appears that a Lv 30
WG/RB omastar and a Lv 30 WG/HP Vap would do about the same amount of damage (~450 hp) before it dies. The difference is that Omastar would have an average DPS of about 17 and the Vapes is about 15.

What are you prioritizing? Staying alive or killing it quicker? It's probably going to be different depending on the size of the group.

My goal now is to have an effective anchor, so I can manually leave when on my 6th mon. Twice I've fainted and tried to get back in, network error...still eligible to raid but not in the victory party. This time I was able to hang around, organize, coach another group to beat Lugia again but it also is Sunday when that is easier to do

Most effective without dodging by damage done to moltres are:
1) Omastar RT/RB
2) Omastar RT/AP
3) Golem RT/RB
4) Golem RT/SE
5) Omastar WG/AP
6) Dragonite DT/OUT
7) Omastar RT/RS
8) Tyranitar B/Cr
9) Omastar WG/RB
10) Tyranitar B/SE

Rating of liveness:
1) Omastar - 100%
2) Tyranitar - 92%
3) Dragonite - 77%
4) Golem - 69%

Dragonite and Tyranitar B/Cr doing more damage than Tyranitar B/SE, really?

Yes.
If B/SE does 100%, then B/Cr - 105%, dragonite DT/OUT - 121%

Another words - during life in battle Tyr B/Cr generates more damage, than Tyr B/SE. Dragonite even more.

Recently, pokeassistance added new parameter DPE - damage per energy.
Absolute lider is Draginite DT/OUT.

DPE not exactly I said, but move to same directions.

Don't think I believe b/c does more damage versus moltres than b/SE. Is there anyone out there who can corroborate this? Indefinitely didn't plan to include b/c t'tar in my lineup.

The only reason I can guess is, without dodging, you'll get off more Crunches than Stone Edges, with the ability to not need 100% energy. So if you are spamming to get SE, but die at 90% energy, you could have gotten 2 crunches off by that time

You have wrong understanding "effective".
Check the link above to understand why 2 or 3 bar attacks better than 1 bar attack in many cases.
