So we got a grass event
hmmmm...very cool.
The idea of doing quick little 'mini events' is a very cool, fun idea and very beneficial to the game if you ask me.
It will help keep if interesting and fresh if they keep it up...maybe every weekend, or every other week.
(On a side note...I just farmed my local bulbasaur nest for the past 2 weeks, so thats kinda a bummer, but Chikoritas are welcome !)
maybe next week they can do a mini fire event
I honestly appreciate every event. Most hold some upsides they don't announce too which is great.
But let me summarize my last two "spawn" events in this grass/water biome.
We had the pink event which offered no Chanseys or Porygons. Just loads of Eggs that I can catch more than anyone would ever need on a normal day.
Then we had the water event which should be good here right? Welp, it started good but about an hour in they nerfed Dratini to a level that he wound up less available than without the event running. So I caught less than I usually do while there is no event.
So I just hope this "grass event" has some buried surprise because if they are about to jack up the copious number of Sunkern and Chikoritas I get to take another event off.
I liked the water event for all the Magikarp everywhere (finally got enough for my first Gyarados, and then a 2nd one on top of that), and Valentine's was at least nice for the double candy, even if I only found one Chansey, but I definitely agree about hoping there's more to this grass event. Do you have dozens of Exeggutors already too? I just can't seem to bring myself to transfer anything near or above 2k CP.
Grass types are what I get the most of anyway, so this is about as useful as if they announced a bird event, replacing everything else with extra Pidgey, Natu, and Spearows for a few days.
I really hope there is something big as soon as this event ends because it seems a pretty small and useless event...My bet is that a part from those grass mon we gonna see some new shiny released during the event but still is not enough for me.
Don't get me wrong, I really love the idea of having this "small" events, but as long as they are between the new content updates. At this point it has been a month since the last update and three months since gen2 release that was the last update that actually brought new content to the game, they have not even bothered to add something as simple and small as other daily challanges/quests, like taking down a gym, capture x mon, do x good throws, prestige a friendly gym, walk x km,etc... Come on Niantic, give us something more, you have not even to think too much, there are hundreds of amazing ideas from your direct playerbase!
