Just want to hear your thoughts. Meganium with 100% IVs and Vine Whip/Petal Blizzard, Venusaur with 70% IVs and Vine Whip/Petal Blizzard. Which ones better?
Edit: Which one would be a better investment of my stardust?
I think venusaur, and here's why:
Base stats (a/d/s):
Venusaur: 198/198/160
Meganium: 168/202/160
Typing:
Venusaur: neutral to bug/poison/ground, weak to psychic, resists fighting and fairy
Meganium: weak to bug and poison but resists ground. Neutral to psychic, fighting, and fairy.
(And of course both are weak to ice, fire, and flying)
Do you have enough candies to re-roll another Venusaur evolution? Solar Beam is strictly better than Petal Blizzard. Personally I would power up the Meganium (since it is 100%) while I built up the candies to try Venu again, hopefully with higher IV. But it also depends on where each one is at right now.
I'm lvl 26 and meganium is max at ~1700, venusaur trails at about 1650 though not max. I have 55 venusaur candy though haven't really been going after bulbasours lately. I could push and get there in maybe 2 weeks, would help if I found a nest like with chickorita. What do you think of meganium moveset? according to here it is decent on both attack and defense, though only decent?
Well then good catch, did you use a pinap berry on it? Still, I would not put dust or candies on that Venusaur. The IVs are just too poor. On the other hand you would be very lucking to find another perfect Meganium that also has a better move set. If I were you I would not regret powering up that Meganium.
Besides having superior IVs here, Megs looks better on attack. My only Venusaur has RL/Sludge Bomb and after some disappointment I decided it was for the better 'cos I wouldn't want to see that huge toad backside every time I attack Vaporeons. But it looks great in gyms. And I actually wanted PB when evolving Meganium, though SoB is fine. Long and boring animation and will be easily dodged in pvp.
