max out level

i know there was a game update of changing the mons max level to either 39.5 or 40. is there any time table as to when that update be effective in the app?

You can manually update is as early as a few days ago. It will probably be forced very soon.

oh thats great. but how do u manually do that? i have iphone so maybe the option is not there.

The coded Max is level 40. To get a pokemon to level 40 you need to either use 2 devices (used to be 3) OR toggle airplane mode.

When you are level 37, your pokemon max level is 38.5

The bug was when you hit level 38, and powererd up your pokemon to 39, the power up button disappeared. Making 39 the bugged max without using one of the workarounds I mentioned earlier.

The newest version of pokemon go, partally fixed the bug. The button disaappears at 39.5 (which is the limit a level 38 trainer could power to) and doesn't reappear when you hit level 39. This makes the current --presumable--- bugged max 39.5 again without doing one of the workarounds above.

got it. this update has yet to appear on my device. is there any explanation for this or its just a matter of time. i'm looking for a means to accelerate the update.

The update that does this has been removed from rollout (according to people on TSR), because it is buggy.
It only gets mons to 39.5, but I would guess that when they release a less buggy version then we will be able to get mons to 40 without any 'tricks'

You can still get the update from apkmirror, but it may be best to wait.
