Update: I see Dratinis too at a park nearby. Whoever has dragon catching quests might be able to do them easily.

I was at 230 Karp candy before the event and now I have a surplus of 40. It almost feels like they're handing me Mew now but I guess I'm ok with that!

Agree - I had worked up to 320 candy before the event, and then in 4 hours without working at it much got to 450. Now I need a good 'karp candidate for evolution. Might do a raid or two to get one.

I caught a lvl 27ish shiny with horrible IVs this past weekend that I evolved for the quest. He's good enough to drop in a gym and dazzle his enemies for a few seconds before fainting at least
