magikarp nest

So checked out a nearby nest after migration, now that area usually spawns magikarp in small numbers but they were everywhere and nothing else was spawnign in numbers large enough to consider a nest. My understanding was that magikarp weren't normally migratory but this looked unusual otherwise.

Anyone else ever thought they had a magikarp nest?

Yes, there was definitely a magikarp nest near my house a couple of migrations ago. It was easy to tell since it's not in a water biome.

Oh yes. They get nests too. Good luck fishing.

Based on my exprience, when you encounter a nest which is in a park usually, there are 7~10 of a specific mon. Then, when you finish catching all of them, just leave and come back 30mins later, there will be another 7~10 of this kind of mon.

ta was just under the impression they didn't nest so was just confirming that i wasn't going nuts or it was a statistical anomaly.

I have three quality accessible nests got this piloswine (Ice is rare here still don't have gold medal) and chikorita (which i don't need). Best I've had since February

Chikorita and Piloswine were 2 of the 3 I was hoping to find close to me...much jealousy.

Yup...one of my fav spots to hunt is a Magikarp nest as of today.
It is not the first time I have seen one.

The only time I ever saw a Karp nest, there was also the very occasional Dratini/Dragonaire/Dragonite in it. Maybe only one (or 2) a day, but it made that nest quite popular.

Looking at the early reports on SilphRoad, one of the 12 nests that I track is marked as Karp. Even though it is one of the ones furthest from my house, 45 minute drive, I'll be taking my son and daughter there a few times over the next 2 weeks.

Magikarp nests don't attract dratini, but water biomes do. If it is a permanent water biome rather than a magikarp nest, it likely sometimes spawns dratini.

I suspect I live near a permanent Magikarp nest. :P
