Machamp solo minimum requirements?

I know I'm not in a position to pull it off at the moment but am considering investing some dust to have a team lined up. Any suggestions? Currently working on walking an eevee for espeon.

Movesets in order of image.

Dragonite: dragon breath/dragon claw
Exe: confusion/SB
Dragonite: DT/HB
Exe: extrac/psychic
Alakazam: comfusion/FB
Lugia: extrac/future sight
Slow king: confusion/psychic ( probably not recommended but my only other notable psychic typing)

Line up is looking weak, I'm guessing a lot of TMs would be necessary.

With what you have I'm not sure it's worth the investment. The cheap and "easy" way would be to find Lv 30 eevees and eggys and try to cobble together 5 decent psychics that way and then toss in that powered up Dragon into the mix.

The issues:
Dragon 78% too low IV to invest that much dust in.
Eggy not worth dust find a higher level/iv
Slowking/Lugia too low DPS
Zam soon to be superceded by mewtwo

Primarily, I'd be afraid they'd change raid bosses before you could power up all those mons. Then you'd be half finished with a project you could never complete. PS the upside of the eggy/eevee route is you may end up with enough SoB eggys and jolteons to take on vape.

But with the Ttar, and dragon you got the starts of a good gengar raid team.

And those vapes will do great against Arcanine.

78% is already good enough for me. What I really look out for is the attack stat.
I would choose a 40% IV with 15 attack over a 80% IV with 8 attack.

If it was caught close to level 30 I'd agree with putting in a few bumps, but I don't see investing 50k-60k stardust as a wise move. It's entirely possible that dragonite will be a raid boss soon and acquiring better iv versions will be easy. Not to mention Mewtwo being around the corner.

To solo Machamp forget lugia or slow king. Not enough dps, no matter how tanky. doubt you could take them out with them even if they're lvl 39

Personally I just barly made it with:

Alakazam Conf/Psy (Futuresight would be better)

Espeon Conf/Psy (Futuresight would be better)

2x Dragonite DT/Hurricane (DB also ok, forget all else)

1x Exeggutor Conf/SB

all 90%+ IVs, lvl 30.5

For soloing level 3 bosses DPS is king, tankyness is useless. Dodge only if your charge bar is close to full and a dodge will give an extra charge attack. Otherwise getting hit by a charge move increases your DPS due to charging your charge bar.

This helps in choosing best DPS mons:

^This is good stuff and true OP.

You need high DPS mons and as a wise poster mentioned above I'm not sure it's worth going nuts investing; we aren't sure how long he'll be around.

If you want to work towards it catch high CP Eevees and walk them in to Espeons. If you get enough, great, if the boss changes it cost you little and just wasn't meant to be.

That's a sweet spreadsheet, I've been having trouble with Arcanine, kingler never crossed my mind and I have a good one. Also good to see how low RB golem and any Rhydon is.

L39 Alakazam (PC+P), L39 Espeon (ZH+P), L30 Alakazam (PC+FS), L30 Alakazam (C+FS), and this Dragonite.
Machamp is like the easiest 3 star solo. My Pokémon didn't even have the optimal moves.

Nice, but teams with a couple of lvl 39 mons are pretty useless to show since you expect all lvl 38 trainers to solo the doable T3s without any problem.

I'm very confident that even they are all L30 I can pull it, as: 1. Those 39 have worst movesets; 2. I had 40 secs left.
My point is . Alakazam > Espeon

But this post was about minimum requirements to solo. When I use my lvl 30s they pretty often faint just before fully charged, with a lvl 39 you will be able to use that extra charge move and then it's totally another ball game.

This team will take down a CC boss without problems. No dodging. I don't think it's enough for DP or HS but I haven't tested yet. If it won't work I'll throw in another Espeon or Alakazam instead of Dnite and try to dodge.

I find Lugia has been the difference between success and failure.

You mean 5 Esp/Ala and 1 Lugia? Thought about that, but hesitant now with only 160 rare candies and Mewtwo coming.
