Machamp power up?

I know this is a stupid question. I have a 2490 CP machamp with 15 14 15 ivs and counter dynamic punch， power this beast up? Another question for you math nerds out there: is 15 14 15 iv better than or equal to 15 15 14 ivs?

1) Yes, I would.
2) I don't know, but I don't think you'd notice any difference.

1. I’d power it up to whatever breakpoint you’re trying to reach.

2. 15/14/15 (A/D/S) is *slightly* better than 15/15/14. This is because less defense translates to more damage taken, which increases energy gain. The difference will be so minuscule you won’t notice it, though. The same could be said for a 15/15/15.

2) Energy gain = Ceiling(HP loss/2)
You only gain more energy gain if you miss a bulkpoint and the amount of damage you take increments from an even number to an odd number. If it goes from an odd number to an even number, then you are just taking more damage without gaining any additional energy.
If the two IVs at the same level both hit the same breakpoint, then they are practically the same.

In addition, that possible extra point of energy per attack taken must actually create a meaningful advantage, ie. let you use a charge move earlier or let you use more charge moves during the battle, which is also somewhat unlikely.
