Machamp with Karate Chop & Stone edge? Worth keeping around to power up?

Machamp isn't very good in general, but I think Stone Edge is the best move for defense - despite lack of STAB. It covers Machamp's weakness to flying very well, and whenever (if?) crit chance is implemented it will be even better.

Seems okay for defense but the dps on attack is going to suffer. The main issue is that all of machamp's moves do relatively low dps even when super effective.
I wish Machamp were more useful but it isn't yet.

I used to put my Bullet Punch/Stone Edge Machamp in gyms before I had anything else better and it served me alright. Definitely get's passed up by stronger defenders as you keep playing

If it's not going to be one of your top pokemon, I wouldn't do it

I have one of these with lower IVs and have powered it up to 30. Actually I quite like using it on Snorlax, like the SE visuals, karate chop is poor though... but overall I'm rather satisfied with this one. You may want to power it up a bit and test it in a gym. Of course there are better attackers out there, but this is an interesting poke so if you like it why not power it up if you have some dust to spare.
