Machamp is going to be super OP now?

Here's why I think this. First of all, counter and close combat are both the 3rd best quick and charge moves in the game, and machamp can learn both of those moves. Secondly, it seems like Blissey and Tyranitar will dominate the meta game (even if they turn out to be bad, their CP is still high so people would put them in gyms anyway). Tyranitar has a double weakness to fighting, and Blissey has a weakness to fighting. Not to mention snorlax also. With all of these points combined, do you think machamp will be a top tier attacker?

For tyranitar, pretty sure it will turn into those easy double super effective matchups like vape vs rhydon/jolt vs gyra thing ,but for blissey, Machamp get rekted by ZH/DG pretty hard though.

I don't think Machamp is OP. He will finally be a good counter to Snorlax and to Blissey. But either with ZH and Blissey with DG will go SE into Machamp, so not a complete slam dunk.

But great to see Machamp finally becoming relevant. KC was a really terrible (and sad) quick move.

I think he is the best fighting type. The question for me is what moveset i should be looking for.

Machamp has the 2nd best offensive moveset of the game after Gengar Hex/Shadow Ball. (C/DP>C/CCo btw). Plus usefull typing and good base stat.

With C/DP he does more damage vs neutral defender than DB/DC Dragonite, so even more vs normal type.
He has 40 less defense though. But still enough sta to be great.

Only drawback is that he is weak to ZH and DG but he is still great vs Blissey and Snorlax.

Definitely tier 1

Machamp is Fair P, not OP now. He's useful like Exeggutor. He used to be the saddest, most defective Pokemon in the game, so it's a big step up for sure.
