Is Lugia worth investing in?

With SGPokeMap likely to remain down for a few weeks, I intend to use the Eggstravazanga to just farm stardust and distance with long bus rides.

Is my 12/15/13 Lugia with DT/FS worth investing 75k stardust (have 630k), 66 Rare Candy (have 228) and possibly TMs (11F, 4C)?

With the following team (all level 30, A/D/S), I can easily solo Machamp with CC and have also managed DP once, but have yet to try HS:
1. Gardevoir, Conf/DG, 15/13/15
2. Alakazam, Conf/FS, 15/15/14
3. Alakazam, PC/FS, 13/15/15
4. Espeon, Conf/FS, 12/15/14
5. Exeggutor, Conf/Psyc, 13/14/14
6. Dragonite, DT/Hu, 14/14/11
Currently walking Beldum; 62 candy so far and hopefully more from five unhatched 10 km eggs from the windy event.

As for Gengar, FB is a walk in the park with the following team, but I have yet to try the other two charge moves:
1. Tyranitar, Bite/Crunch, 13/15/13
2. Gengar, Hex/SBall, 14/14/10
3. Alakazam, Conf/FS, 15/15/14
4. Alakazam, PC/FS, 13/15/15
5. Espeon, Conf/FS, 12/15/14
6. Groudon, MS/EQ, 14/13/15

There is no need for me to save potions; in fact, I need to burn them faster!

No Mewtwo and missed out on the legendary birds. Yet to power up (or even use RC on) my double-Flying Rayquaza.

The only lugia I would power up is a 96%+ AND if you really have nothing else to do with your stardust and rare candy. Otherwise it's not really worth it.

I beat a neutral weather Shadowball Gengar with 59 sec left on the clock this morning...if you have even 1 more Tyranitar or a big Dragonite, just something to last a few more hits then Gengar likely ok battle for you

When Soloing Machamp,I like to keep a lvl30 lugia as an anchor if I missed a few dodges or its laggy he can pick up the slack.
Your best bet to beat machamp easily is rayquaza though, So id invest in more of those first, Rayquaza out dps's even alakazam, and is a lot more bulky so no worries about dodging, so more dps there too.

If you are still interested in doing more Machamp solos, Lugia does pretty much guarantee that your team won't faint out even if you miss some dodges. I would rather invest those resources on your Rayquaza though, more useful and also a great improvement on your Machamp team.
