i noticed in the machamp section that they have moved lugia into supreme for machamp counters with hurricane dragonite left in good.
now I've seen plenty of people use 4-5 psychics and 1-2 dragonites to solo him. with lugias DPS can he fit into a solo squad?
has anyone had any success with lugia?
Probably depends on what your 7th and 8th mons are. If you would be switching over to a xatu or slowbro, then he's probably a decent 6th, even with his lower attack you'd get to keep the extra seconds required to rejoin with subpar fighters or the time required to heal your top fighters. But if you're rolling 6+ deep on good psychics (zam or espeon) or high level dragons then probably not.
PS my only lugia is not worth powering up so this advice isn't from experience.

I barely scraped by and benefited from some impeccable dodging. I've since TM'ed the PsyB Espeon to FS and picked up a Zam PC/FS Powered to 31. So I'm looking to see if I swap out that Outrage Dragon for the Zam if I'll be good, working on a 96% double psychic Eggy (at 26.5 now).

He can fit at the end of the squad if you need that tank to survive and have other mons to do fast damage
I personally have 6 psychics and can solo Machamp with them so I don't need lugia at the end but I can see how he'd fit
If you can use 4-5 fast, hard hitting psychics and throw a lugia at the end to tank through the last damage with plenty of time left you should be fine.
