Low level perfects Pokémon worth stardust?

Currently going through a dilemma with 3 of my perfect Pokémon. Them being Larvitar-lvl 2, Eevee-lvl 9 and Mareep-lvl 13. Is it worth investing and evolving? Or is it better just to leave them be and let them gather dust? Also if they are worth it what is the best eeveelution to turn a perfect eevee into?

Not worth the dust... currently. If things change in the future, then the Eevee might be worth it. For the Eevee, depends on your area AND if you're one of the Blessed who both was invited to a Mewtwo raid AND caught one. If you haven't caught one, then it might be worth it to evolve an Esperon.

Regarding the Larvitar, sad to say it's not likely a useful Pokémon to evolve. Waaaaaaaayyyyy too many Candies to evolve it to a Tyranitar, then to power it up to be useful. I'd wait on that until I had both 300 extra Tyranitar candies AND I couldn't catch any more Tyranitars in raids. It's a hell of a lot of candies that would be likely better spent on powering up a 67IV Ttar with Attack 15 than a Level 2 Perfect Larvitar.

Regarding the Mareep? I have no idea.

Thanks for the input. No mewtwo and mainly feels like a water and grass biome so hardly any good flareons or Jolteons. I have a couple of high level vapes and a bunch of eevees for espeon if I want to. But mainly this game for me is to obtain perfect Pokémon. So the original toss up for me was either vape or esp for actual utility.

I have enough ttar candies it's just again the amount it takes is really deterring me lol.

the same dilemma I have with a 100% lvl 2 Dratini.

yes, but a level 20 Dragonite or even a level 30 dragonite is hardly useful.

For attacking raid boss, it'd be better to use a lvl 30 specialist than a lvl 30 Dragonite.

Also, I already got a 100% lvl39 Dragonite. If I power this up, I'll power it up to lvl 40.

Yea so you feel my pain lol. On the flip side I was blessed with 3 decently high perfect dratinis so I can't complain too much.

Well, seeing as Dragonite is a rather good Pokemon it's probably well worth the investment.

I had a 98% level 10 (I think, might have been lower) Dragonair that I'd had for over a year, but then I realised it wouldn't cost a fortune to evolve it and now I have a 3420cp Dragonite.

Haven't used it much so far, but I don't regret getting it ;)

So save up candies and dust and then get yourself one hell of a Dragonite :D

The Larvitar is worth it for sure, and probably the Eevee as well (personally, I'd make it an Espeon). The power up costs from low levels up to level 20 are not that much.

Would you power them up if they were already level 20? If so, then you should power them up from where they are, because it isn't that much different.

Yes if they were at least near 20 I wouldn't hesitate to powerup. It's just the fact it would drain my ttar candies. Eevee isn't really a problem for me. It's just the investment of candy. I only have 1.4 and I'm a little narotic about keeping it at a certain number.... which I'm trying to get it back to lol. Maybe I should start doing ttar raids and pianap to replenish its candy.

It's a difficult question that I know has been talked about here before.

Personally I have a low level 100%IV Cyndaquil, that I've been thinking of evolving and power up, but seeing as Typhlosion isn't the greatest, I've decided to wait.

So I would say that it sort of depends on what Pokemon it is.
Tyranitar is a great Pokemon that will be useful for some time, so if you have the candies, it might be good to evolve your Larvitar and power it up.
According to this sites evolution/power up calculator it would cost 179 candies (it would cost 125 just to evolve it) and 44600 dust to get it to level 20. That's just 54 candies more than it would cost to evolve a hatched one.

Spend 245 candies and about 120000 dust on it and you will have a 3100+ 100%IV Tyranitar at level 30.
Not too bad ;)

As for the other two, I'm not so sure. Ampharos isn't that great, but it wouldn't be that expensive to get it to a lvl 20 Ampharos.

But I would rather spend dust and candies on that Eevee. It wouldn't be too expensive to get a lvl 30 evolved version.

In the end I think you just have to look at what you need, want and can afford.

Thanks for the feedback you make a really good case for TTar. The evolving is the real pain. I honestly don't really need any eeveelution or amph. Actually don't even need ttar but the dream is to get one evolved for of each at 100%. I might just evolve the ttar first then bring it to 20 then maybe wait a bit.

Tyranitar will remain the best dark type pokemon for many generations, and the only pokemon that will truly surpass it are legendary (and likely to be EX raids so of limited supply, if current EX raids are any indication.) If there is any pokemon worth powering up from level 1, it is Tyranitar.

Anyway, it is "only" 56 candy and 45k stardust from level 1 to 20, then 125 candy to evolve, but after that you can procede without hesitating like you might feel when powering up one with marginally weaker IVs.

I really liked Ampharos in Gold/Silver, but in Go it is far surpassed by Raikou as an attacker (both by stats and because Thundershock is much better than both Ampharos's fast moves).

If you don't have enough candy to power up, you might want to at least evolve now in case Bite becomes a legacy move with the Gen3 release.

I have a level 1, 98% Dragonite I evolved just before Gen2 dropped. It got Steel Wing/Dragon Claw, now Dragon Tail/Dragon Claw. After these last two events, I have enough stardust and candy that I could splurge on it. Only reason to wait now would be to see what moves Salamance might get as a comparison, but I'll probably pull the trigger before that.

That is one of my biggest worries honestly. Only dragonite I got before the change was steel wing hyper beam so I would hate to eventually evolve larvitar and not be able to get its best moveset if legacy is involved.

They might change Tyranitar's current moves, but I recon they wouldn't leave it without dark or rock moves. Out of the currently available moves:

Bite can become Snarl. This is equivalent to the Dragon Breath change to Dragon Tail. The new move is stronger, but is longer so harder to dodge with.

Crunch can become Dark Pulse or Foul Play, both of which would be a step up.

Stone Edge can become Ancient Power, Rock Tomb, or Rock Slide. While Ancient Power or Rock Tomb would be worse, Rock Slide would be an improvement.

i'd swap you 200 larvitar candy for your 100% if i could.
I short prophecy
you'll leave him sitting there power up a 93 % one acccumulate 500 candy before you see something better and wish you had of spent the dust on the perfect instead.

I've evolved a perfect Larvitar and Mareep both level 1. The Ampharos I keep as a trophy, but the Tyranitar I have powered up.

The thing with 100% is, you know for a fact you won't obtain a better one in the future. So in that sense, every single stardust is worth it. Besides, from level 1-20 doesn't really require that much extra stardust and candies relatively in my opinion.
