Looks like machamp's gone

Anyone seen any machamp raids since the event ended? A post in my discord showed the new rotation from what we've seen and from what the sylph road and reddit collected and machamp was absent.

If so RIP psychic mewtwo

Could you be anymore bitter, about not having a decent non participation trophy mewtwo????

How exactly do I sound bitter? Also can you please explain the 'decent non participation trophy mewtwo' part

I was always the one who said psychic mewtwo was the least useful of its sets (yes, I actually said that hyperbeam was better), im actually super happy about machamp being gone because I never needed to raid it and always wished the raid was something different that I needed.

It goes for a lot more than just mewtwo, same with gardevoir as it was basically a hard fighting counter. This is probably the most extreme example of no pokemon is safe since in any way (as a raid boss or coutner) since what SD tyranitar did to RT omastar, as well as highlighting just how 60 to zero a specialist legendary like Psychic mewtwo can go

*Silph Road, and this is the list according to them:

L1: Drowzee, Magikarp, Wailmer, Meditite
L2: Mawile, Kirlia, Exeggutor (Kanto), Slowbro,
L3: Starmie, Claydol, Alakazam, Alolan Raichu, Jynx
L4: Houndoom, T-Tar, Absol, Alolan Marowak
L5: Mewtwo...

Machamp's removal means every boss has been rotated out at least once. Figures this would happen after just getting a lucky 98% Abra from a trade...

The list seems to follow a theme of psychic and dark types, likely a theme due to Mewtwo being the current T5. At least we still have Kirlia raids to fall back on for those needing to burn a free pass and can't find a group. My question is why the absolute fuck did Drowzee get added? No one wants this unless they add its shiny or it's a teaser for this year's Halloween event.

They added drowsei because some guy was probably to tired tot think of something actually useful that day. (Seriously, why did they not add murkrow and sneasle back!? Or heck even Swablu)

I kinds find it a little funny that they have a month of the best machamo counters available, abra's everywhere, and then they just remove machamp. This made me glad I never put much stock into making a machamp counter team (walking abnd evolving an espeon army or evolving an army of gardevoir that arent too useful now) or RC'ing psychic mewtwo. but that 98% abra, right there with ya, wild windy boosted one that I really dont know what to do with

You say that like that team wouldn't have gotten several months of use out of it. This is the first time in the year+ of raids existing that Machamp was removed. Especially with weather boost being a thing it's not exactly intensive to get a few high-level Espeon. I don't regret any of the dust sank into any of my Psychic squad; clearing my first T3 solo felt amazing and being able to repeat it even moreso.

Why would you want Murkrow added? inb4 Gen 4; Murkrow are common as hell outside themed events and have a stupid low catch rate for being momentarily worthless. Not worth the raid slot imo. Sneasel I agree though, those are much less common and would have fit thematically.

(I started in febuary this year, right before the dratini event, and didnt start actively raiding until around latios, was level 15 then) By the time i'd gotten to a level i'd need to be to be able to take machamp on solo (ie when I got to level 30 and got my first EX invite around 2 months ago), id already gotten wild encounter/egg hatch machop that hd the iv's needed, plus the nearly 1k candy I got from the kanto event with double candy completely eliminated any need for the raids., so the situations were I needed to do them but didnt have the pokemon to do so (abra and eevee weren't overly common for me, and the ones I got even boosted were at levels too low to make powering them up feasible, also each espeon after the name trick one is 2 less candy at min of the bagon I had partnered back then was not something that seemed worth it [actually cost a lot more as leveling up rare abra and low leveled espeon would take a lot more walking to get]) and by the time I got the tools to take machamp apart I no longer had any reason to raid them. When it came to raids, my mentality was go for the one I needed more, if that was doing a tier 1 for a good iv magikarp over a teir 3 machamp for just raid rewards, i'd take the karp over the machamp. When you dont live near water and magikarp dont appear all the time in the wild, 400 candy's nothing to waste

Im not saying mukrow's good, but its at least better than freaking Drowsie. Murkrow, low catch rate? Those things are stupidly annoying to catch for how low their CP is.

I have no doubt machamp is eventually going to come back, likely at the end of October. Its just kinda funny to see how people reacted when they took away the one thing that a large number of pokemon that were relevant for (largely only) countering that one specific pokemon, even if it is for a short time. I by no means think anything spent on a machamp counter team would go to waste, it will likely always come back and be a reliable solo for those wanting to beat rarecandy out of raids, but this brief time its gone is pretty funny because a large number of people in my chat were stocking up on mewtwo specifically for a machamp counter team and now have no idea what to do with they psychic types in the mean time

Tier 1's, garbage, tier 2's predictable, tier 3's I like, was sick of Machamp & think he was in need of a break anyway. Tier 4's again predictable, but more raidable than the lot we've just had. All in all not too bad but would've liked to see some new ones brought to the roster to give us a fresh challenge.

After I'd already beat Claydol twice, I still couldn't do it another time I tried no matter what. It's definitely a challenge.

Soloing Machamp has become a rite of passage for many trainers. Level 30 non-legendaries can comfortably get the job done (of course, DP and HS require good dodging, especially if weather-boosted).

Looking forward to taking on Jynx and Starmie!

This. Winter is coming in the northern hemishpere, I am looking forward to challenge snowy weather heavy slam Machamp...

Did it a few times last winter, once with a very borderline unique 6 team. Definitely a challenge and Gardevoir becomes completely worthless against it.

I guess we will find a worthy replacement for Gardevoir next community day. SA Moltres should be a new contender of choice as well.

I'm assuming that the CD move is Meteor Mash which would probably be inferior to SE Psychic no matter how good it is, but SA Moltres is for sure stupidly good in that matchup.

Yeah, I was just mentioning CD because I still don't have a single Metagross :)
