The longest you've held a gym?

Was visiting the wife's family during Xmas break. I put a cp 2600ish vape into a gym on some random trail. Been collecting coins since. So, little shy of 3 months. Sucks that it's 350 miles away and I have no way of knowing what other mons are keeping that milk cow going!

I'm still in one gym that I took over just after Christmas (12/27/2016), so 2.5 months!

Less than 1 week. The down side of being in a major city is this.

lol I have a Gyarados around 2800 when I was level 30 w/ B/Twister been stuck there for around 3 months too. Evolved a level 30 Karp to that shitty move and lol at least I got a solid return on dust and coins. Competitively my Rhydon and my highest cpnNite has held a gym in a competitive gym for 2-3 weeks.

I have one since before Christmas as well. In a gym at the entrance to an out-of-the-way nature preserve. Helps that it's winter here.

Around two months is my max, was in 5 gyms at my grandparent's town from January-March.

I was kicked out around 2 weeks ago and I know that was done by spoofers or multi account users because I took them to level 9/10 and during the hole week I was there none of them was even contested.

The problem is that is too far away to go back and retake them, 700km travel and only go to visit them during holidays :(

A Flareon for about 3 months, 1 week after CP change it got kicked out.

Last winter I had one in a gym that required walking half a block in the snow to get to in the middle of a park and I held it for 2 weeks.

Is there a way to know other tan remember when you placed it?

Dragonite 3.2k, for about 2 months now!

5 days, city life, team instinct --few instinct gyms last here, and the few are always full
Surprisingly scizor stays in the longest even with its lower cp
I think it helps that it's above a blissey or two, and makes attackers use a fire type when all the other defenders are vap rhydon and blobs

As I said in a previous post, we've been holding a gym (honestly really tough to even find), since the 17th of September ahah

I have 2 in gyms from at least 12/23/2016 (83 days?) , that is when I took the screen shot of my 1st a couple of pages of my Mons. I put 5 at the time, now 2 still going!

Over 7 months (since early august); about 300 feet away from an intersection between a country road and a running trail. My second and third highest have been two at different gyms further north on the same trail (~ 5 months each)

Around 160 days. I was one of the 7 lucky guys who had pokemon in a only bugged gym in my city.

I live in one of the most quiet neighborhoods of Tokyo, and I keep searching for stable gyms. But level 10 with 5 mons above 3000 rarely lasts beyond 24 hours even if my team is dominating the area.

Three months and counting

110 days with 1900 Slowbro on the bottom of a level 10 gym in a populated area where 2900 cp gyms get wiped out all the time. Got knocked off after Gen 2.

I think it must have been some kind of a glitch because all of the gyms around that same area would get knocked down left and right, or dual account cheaters would remove the bottom pokemon and place their own making the lowest mon on the gym around 2900.

But my 1900 slowbro held strong for almost 4 months. In fact it got nerfed so the old value was on the gym while it was updated in my dex.

Since then that same gym gets knocked down or dual accounted regularly.

I guess 4 to 5 months, never really counted

Lost my longest standing one this morning as well, had it since shortly after Christmas. Went back this afternoon and it was already blue again so the wife and I leveled it up and put fresh poke's in. Will see how long it lasts this time.

Im going on 7 months now sitting on the top in 2 gyms. Both Dragonites around 3000K.

Sad thing is that one of the Dragonites is 90% DB/DC and I want it back so I can use it as an attacker... been 7 months now and its still sitting at the top of the gym. Its drops to level 8 sometimes but then goes right back to level 10 in hours.

Funnily enough, just last night I was finally kicked out a gym my Flareon had been defending for about 5-6 months (rural Scotland ha!). Was devastated. Went straight and took it back today. :)

The gym is such a different game here in Hong Kong. Our city is too small and populated.

My luckiest placement in gyms only lasted for around 20 hours beside a highway where no one really has a reason to stay there, and my average is in fact only about an hour or two.

There are 5 gyms near my university (HKUST), when im free i would take an hour to walk through all of them, and i have to do it quick, or else someone else will be taking them down before i finish.

It's not just because my schoolmates love playing PoGo too, it's similar almost everywhere in HK. Last time i went hiking and found a gym on a mountain, the 2755cp dragonite i placed had fainted before i left the mountain.

It's frustrating for me to know that so many ppl get to keep their mons in gym forever, while i have to fight hard for them everytime, and they never last.

132 days straight with 1800cp ending up being 350 for 99% of the time.
