Longest Run In A Gym

Less than a day, too many players and/or spoofers.

3 or 4 days max...

I don't no exact time, maybe 4 week. Put the gym 99 % time owned by Mystic.

This is rlly silly way to earn coins.
Here is excatly same situation, two guys getting 30 free coins day by day cus nobody visits location.
This is only proof how badly designed this game is.
Without 2 players these gyms would be empty and whats point of that?

I still remember this day in autumn, when i trained 45 minutes against a 10-CP-weedle with a 300CP chansey above to get this gym from 9 to 10. Since then, my 2200CP Snorlax lives there and has not come home yet. I have same candy for him, but he seems not to care.

In NYC, I had a gym once for a month, unbelievable really. The norm around here is anywhere from an hour to 3 - 5 days, longer than that is a blessing. My mons now have homes in Jersey mostly, I'm 2 months+ in a handful out there.

The key to long gyms is really:

1) Location - If no one goes there, or bad cell coverage, you can stay for months more of a function of limited traffic.

2) Dominant team areas - If you are high level, I've noticed some gyms rarely, if ever fall...You are more likely to get shaved off by teammates than a rival wasting 45min-hour to clear it). This may change when spring/summer comes and areas are more busy.

My longest is probably 2-3 months in a gym you have to walk/run about 15 minutes to. Cars can't park/stop so it gets shaved occassionaly, but never torn down completely.

I think a lot of high level players are content mostly to not attack rival gyms anymore due to time and their potions/revives dedicated more to prestiging their own spots (my case).

Prestiging uses a lot more potions/revives in general due to dodge bug and 1/2 CP.

I've had several last for around two months. The first was a pre-nerf CP 2100 Nidoqueen that I put in after levelling up a level 9 gym in a small town that is sort of off the beaten path.

Right before Gen 2 was released, I had about eight mons still in gyms that I had placed between Christmas Eve and mid-January (so, roughly 5-8 weeks), but most came back to me right after the Gen 2 release.

Still have a vape on a random trail in North Texas from Xmas vacation. You can't access the gym from the road but it's only a five minute walk. Very surprised he's still there.
