i transferred my second snorlax due to poor iv's as i had caught 2 in the first month of play and figured alright they are rare but i want a good one. hatched a 80% lick/bs one week later discarded my first one didn't see another snorlax for 6 months. should have kept at least one if for no other reason then to buddy the bad one for candies while the good ones do gym time.
Lol just had to share this story: Level 25 friend transferred 4 DB/DC and 3 ZH/BS during double candy event ./).-
A very very casual player who knows nothing about movesets and could care less about gyms. He however has several Pokestops near his apartment and it apparently use to spawn Dragonite about 1x a month and he caught 6 (or so his Pokedex says). 4 of those 6 were DB/DC and were around 1k (typical catches for under level 30 players I assume) go figure. He also has great luck w/ Snorlax and has seen 7 caught 4. Again he didn't care about the low level Lax so he transferred them for space. He apparently valued his starter Pokemon and their evolutions way more than Dragonite and Snorlax! Just wonder how many of these stories there are out there w/ wasted Pokemon sent back to Niantic. Lol go figure rookie luck.

I have 4 that I most likely will never upgrade due to them having lick.
I don't think any IV mon should be upgraded, I have one lax that is upgraded with average iv but it has zen.
Bringing a lax or nite from 500cp that doesn't have good IV is imo very stupid, as it will take you forever to gather all the necessary candies to bring it a cp that is relevant.
