Logging into same account in two locations

My parents are currently vacationing in another country so I gave them access to my PoGo account to catch the regional for me while there. However, they have no idea how to send gifts or collect research stamps, so I need to log in on my own device to do them.

I am aware of the two-hour softban limit.

My questions are as such:

1) If I make sure to log in more than two hours after my parents close the app on their phones, will I suffer any additional repercussions such as a shadowban?

2) Can I still send gifts, receive gifts and claim tasks while softbanned?

I'm planning to tell my parents to avoid playing past 10pm so that I can do the gifting at midnight.

I've never heard of the two hours period, in fact, I just logged into my account ten minutes after a friend logged in 600km away. Not sure about greater distances, but if you don't push it, you should be fine. After an hours or so.

Regarding 2, I would guess so.

You can log in as per normal. But did all your mons run away after the first ball?

I didn't catch any, but the person on the other end did catch some again after I had had a look and did not report back any problems.

The softban probably wasn't applied because you didn't catch anything or spin any stops.

Can't you just connect to your patents' phone via teamviewer or so?

Honestly, I never did think of that. I'm usually very reluctant to use apps that I know very little about.

If you want to be absolutely safe just turn off your phone's GPS when you log in back at home, send the gifts and be done for a couple of hours. AFAIK there's nothing that stops you from sending gifts with no location signal.
