Link that showed Gyms with levels and defenders
Recently someone posted a link to a website that kept track of gym levels and the defenders within.
Can you post that again please.
Thank you.

Of course it gives an advantage. I use gymhuntr all the time. I want to see which areas in my city are strongholds for each team. If I see a territory that's controlled by my team and I see level 8 or 9 friendly gyms I'm going to take a drive to prestige it and open up spots for myself. Not gonna be roaming around the city blindly wasting gas and time hoping to find an opportunity.
Do strongholds change a lot? Around here it is pretty consistent. I know where my team's gyms are without using the scanner. Maybe I am the oddball, but I'm not constantly seeking to expand my team's territory, especially since we have a horrible spoofer on our team. I stay away from most of the gyms he takes out of general principle. Maybe it gives an advantage in some areas, but IMO it is nothing close to a pokemon scanner that allows people to pile up things like Snorlax...
Some of the areas are pretty consistent but some areas changes colors or at least infringe on territories. Some of the gyms in territory "borders" are highly contested. These are crucial gyms that we battle constantly for - not for coins but for protecting territories. Gymhuntr shows the flow of how gyms changes. We recognize some of the stronger enemy trainer names and gymhuntr shows the history of changing colors and the trainers.
And I do use scanner/tracker to pile up on snorlaxes. Haha. They spawn a lot in my area.
