Leveling Limits Lifted?

It used to be that we could only level up our mons 1.5 levels above our trainer level. Now it's letting me level up to 40, and I'm level 38. Anyone else notice this change? When did it happen?

Checked my wife's account. She's 35 and can level to 37, so I guess the limit got boosted to +2 from +1.5.

Loven it! I reached lvl 38 yesterday and got to finally max out some of my favorite mons!

A week ago.
When there's a new update in the store, just check the official page what's new.

They claim that basically you should have been able to power to two levels above trainer level all along.
