Level Raid for Gengar

For the birds, the raid stats were generally similar to Level 4 raids. Normally Gengar is Level 3. Will this increase to Level 4 or remain Level 3 for the event?

I find it hard to believe that Niantic will keep it a level where L30+ trainers can comfortably solo it. That is not what their special raid days are intended for.

In other words, I'm pretty confident it will be level 4.

Agreed. It's probably going to end up as fairly easy duo, and a somewhat effortless trio.

I've not run the simulations though.

My account and my kids account (level 31) get a reasonable duo from level 4 and a simple trio for level 5.
