Level 30 First Snorlax Advice
So I am level 30 and just hatched my first Snorlax ever. He is 1884 CP with 84.4% IV. His moves are Lick/Hyperbeam. I have 64 candies (I have caught some wild ones). My next best one is a 2538 CP 80% IV with Lick/Earthquake. Is it worth powering up the Lick/Hyperbeam one? I need defenders, not attackers and while this moveset isn’t ideal, it’s still a Snorlax. Thank you for your help.

The value of Snorlax is on the defensive end. Offensively there are better Options in every matchup! So you really want a Snorlax with ZH and power him up to the max. My first Snorlax I hatched was L/HB too and I waited 4 months until I hatched my second one with ZH/BS and he's a beast. Waiting is always rewarded.
If you have any with ZH at reasonable CP (64 candies means you've caught at least 8...) then power that up instead probably - unless gyms are insanely competitive that the IV matters a tonne to get those extra CP points out of it in which case I suppose Lick/Hyperbeam works. You can also try waiting for another - Snorlax spawns seem to be more common since gen2 was released (like not common, but according to stats in my city 20 spawned yesterday which is pretty good).
