Let me say the truth, Tyranitar Duo should be on Easy difficulty.

I and my friend just duoed a B/SE Tyranitar in Sunny weather.
My team:
1. L34 Machamp C/DP
2. L33 Machamp C/DP
3. L35 Hariyama C/DP
4. L25 Machamp C/DP
5. L30 Metagross BP/MM
6. L32 Rhyperior (unused)
His team:
1. L20 Machamp C/DP
2. L26 Primeape C/CC
3. L26 Rhyperior MS/Eq
4. L20 Heatran BB/IH
5. L20 Heatran BB/IH
6. L21 Vaporeon WG/HP
We finished with a quarter of the clock to spare, and about one second after his team wiped out my Metagross finished off the boss.
Just look, it wasn’t cloudy, and he was using a very weak team. Is Tyranitar this easy to beat now, or that I compensated enough damage for him?

The new super effective multiplier is 1.6 instead of the 1.4 it used to be.

1.4x1.4 = 1.96
1.6x1.6= 2.56

With fighting moves you are doing more than 25% more damage than before. And yes it can indeed be solo’ed in cloudy weather.

Thanks! But, I tried my team on GoBattleSim, the time is 177 secs but it says I can’t win. Why?

It’s not 100% successful but can be done. Bite/stone edge is cloudy weather is the only one I’ve seen done. Had like 3 seconds left.

Yes it is very easy now. Weather boost, friendship bonus and now the new effective multiplier made it gradually easier in that order.

Fire blast tyranitar in sunny weather used to be tough. Yeah, the one you fought is pretty easy.
