Let's GO Pikachu/ Eevee- preperation
I want to buy Pokemon Let's GO Pikachu on premiere. I think its a good idea to start preperation in Pokemon GO, and when i get game transfer some mons to Let's GO. But.. I don't play previous core games (i start with PoGO and Let's Go will be my first core game to play) so i don't know which pokemons are good. Someone can help? I want to know which pokemons are bad in PoGO but good in core games (only this because you can transfer mons from GO to Let's Go so it is bad idea to transfer pokemons like Machamp, Legendarys, Golem, Alakazam... who are useful in GO meta). Also, maybe its a good idea to make article about this on gamepress?

I do think Alakazam was overpowered due to the fact that speed increased critical hit chance and its access to thunder wave (as a competitive Pokemon). This meant that he was able to crit so often that not much could take a hit. It will still be a good Pokemon in this remake, but not "an absolute beast".
OT: The best Pokemon that are not meta relevant in Pokemon Go, but can be in Pokemon LGPE are both Nidos. With a wide (special) movepool and their (hidden) abilities that increase the damage of moves that have a secondary effect by 30% (at the cost of removing that secondary effect) they'll be beasts. For example, a moveset with Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Sludge Wave/Bomb, and Earth Power is incredibly versatile. Ofcourse we don't know whether hidden abilities are available and when the TMs for the earlier mentioned moves are available.
They are transferred to the Park but you can also catch them to use them in the game. The reason they do this is because a lvl 1 player won't be able to catch his Mewtwo and steamroll through the entire game. So most likely you may be able to catch your abra or nidoran instead to give you a boost in the beginning.
Is Let's go Pikachu/Eevee the same as the original games, or is it something totally different? Do we know moves can be changes? Do we know stats will be different?
Edit: if we assume the stats revert to the traditional games, and abilities will exist, move pools will be different, I would suggest just looking at guides for the games and PVP guides. Get familiar with physical attack and defense vs special attack and defense. Learn which pokemon are fast. Even in Sun and Moon many of the classic pokemon are still very good. Snorlax, Gyarados, Slowbro, Venusaur ect.
