Let's face a steel hard fact here.

The in game sightings is STILL unable to locate any pokemon distant from stops. Therefore, any pokemon that are inside cities but out of a stop are STILL undetectable without an external scanner.

Can't we just have the footprints tracker back but allow us to click on the pokemon to see where it is? But judging from this clown of a company in charge of this i doubt it will happen anytime soon.

Chances are the pokemon you want aren't gonna show up on sightings anyway, with or without that tracker. I'd love it if they let you filter out trash pokemon off Nearby. LIke, maybe a checkbox in the Pokedex if you don't want that particular Pokemon showing up in Nearby

I just wish it would show also show gym spawns as most gyms that spawn were previously stops.

Indeed, there's a nest that tends to spawn rare pokemon in my area, now converted into a gym, and I can no longer tell what that nest is unless I go right next to it now.

Footsteps were more challenging and fun. One of the reasons my friends quit was because they removed that feature

Niantic seems to have given up its fight against external scanners, realising that their existence reduces the need to fix Sightings (and helps players find raids).

Our area only recently got a scanner. Without it i would have zero beldum. They seem to spawn most commonly at the industrial precinct in a nearby suburb that most players wmould have no reasdon to hho into otherwise.
We used to have a raid map, that we lost due to 3 consecutive bot banwaves a while back and not enough people donating, before getting a new one as part of the current map, in that time we lost lots of players esp with the raid timer shortened to 45mins, as we were unable to arrange raids with enough time gor people to travel.
