Legendary Raids w/ players quitting at end
I've done 9 raids. I have one of each Legendary. Not as many as some, but more than others. One disturbing trend I am.seeing is high level players hit with their 6 and then not go back in. Yesterday a group went after ours and knocked Lugia down to 50% in 2 minutes. And then they failed to kill him. I said to the group, "Y'all can'just quit at the end to save your revives and leave the lower level players to finish it off. You'll just lose it again. If your gonna show up and play don't tell e eryone to rejoin while ya sit there.". They went again and I walked around like an idiot keeping everyone honest and they knocked it out with a minute to spare.
I know multiple raids are hard on the wallet due to revives, but come on. It's pretty low to join a raid and then do the bare minimum. I saw this happen two more times on raids I was in and I walked around telling players to "rejoin so I don't burn through my revives.". Thankfully nobody wanted to be called out with 15-20 people around. It dang. Is this happening in your raids as well? I'm almost level 37. I have some.maxed out mons and they do well. But I stay in til it's over. It's the right thing to do and everybody wins.

There is a bug where even if players rejoin due to all mons fainting or getting software issues, they don't show to the person who is still on the first round. you might feel you are battling alone, but everyone else is there and you can't see them. So don't get angry over this as it's a Niantic bug.
I'm not going to disagree with their anger b/c one instance I informed the group the charge move was sky attack...guy straight face replied to me: I've been playing for 3 weeks.
After the charge move check it took me a second for my avatar to geo-locate correctly to enter the big raid group...some were calling me a spoofer, they shouldn't let me in if there is an error!?!
Okay, so back to the real point, those that faint exit the battle view. Period. No question or debate.
Ive been saying this exact thing for the longest and no one was paying attention but now its more wide spread because little Timmy deserves a chance too.
The low level players are joining the raids, and when their first pokemon gets knocked out they leave the battle but remain in the lobby, then they hang around looking at other players phones to see where the bosses HP is at, and when they see its almost dead they rejoin the same on going battle and get the win. Then they get the chance to catch the pokemon without loosing any attackers and don't have to use recovery items.
I constantly see a lobby of 20 trainers on legendary raids then half way through the fight only 6 of us is there attacking.
On some devices (like, uh, mine), the game is very slow during raids - to the point of risking the app actually crashing, or worse, like your phone's CPU frying. Healing your squad after your original 6 get wiped out takes much longer than one would expect. Also, in one raid I couldn't get back in the battle at all and had no choice to let the clock run all the way down. And it is sorely tempting to just let the clock run down for the last 30 seconds rather than risk getting no credit for the raid thanks to your app crashing.
It sounds like in the OP's case there really were players who were slacking, but just a heads-up that there are also legit reasons for players dropping out at the end of raids.
I don't know if it's the revives, but I can see people doing this to get more damage bonus balls if it's only factored in for the last 6 you used...Esp since Legendaries are frigging hard to catch. I just reviewed my Artinuo video and had 7 balls...ALL 7 hit, 3 with great throws...It ran.
I was in another raid and was the highest level player (37+) there with optimal (mostly) counters...
Most others were low 30s and many many 20s...
I don't doubt I dished the most damage, but ended up getting 6 balls (5+1 for team) when someone on the minority team got the +3 bonus...
I rejoined the battle and wasted a lot of time swapping out due to my old phone (like 50 secs actually)...
That said, I got 0 for damage when I'd assume, we should've gotten 3+3 if it was all totaled or they factored in your top 6. A bit salty there...
All this said, since my phone is slow as crap, I'm just going to go with tankier mons and a few of my 3100 Blisseys if needed and at least do some damage instead of lagging/swapping and lose 20-50 secs of DPS time...I'm sure that's more appreciated than swapping out in the lobby...
it's because if you rejoin you loose your damage bonus balls.
but the should only be not rejoining if they are sure it's going to be defeated.
It's why have changed my team lowering dps for survivability (so saying i still didn't get creditied with damage at a raid yesterday despite getting off 6 stone edges from level 35 tyrantars (although both got caught in feinting loops)
