Legacy Shadow Claw Gengar

Hi, I come back to this game after more than a year, and realized that I have a Legacy Shadow Claw Gengar, 15IV in attack, but 73% overall. Should I go powering him up, or wait for something better?

EDIT: *PD: I already have more than 10 lucky pokemon, so i think i would not get this new lucky bonus. If there is a possibility of a return of the legacy move, i have plenty of candy to evolve two more gengars, and trading a lot of them could bring a lucky one, so I could add more Shadow Claw Gengars if that happens. Thank you!

Shadow Claw is a legacy move and can no longer be learnt by newly-evolved Gengars. Some speculate that Shadow Claw Gengar may become available again as a Special Research reward (like Body Slam Snorlax) or through a Gastly Community Day.

If your local community is large enough, you should be able to find someone else with another Shadow Claw Gengar to trade with. There is a high chance that both Gengars will become lucky, increasing their IV and decreasing the stardust needed to power them up.

The bonus for lucky chance on old mons isn't significant unless they get the guaranteed lucky bonus. It's at most double the normal lucky rate or something like that, so trading valuable mons like OP's Gengar is inadvisable.

A 73% with 15 attack is great. DO NOT TRADE IT. The chances of it being lucky are good, but it is very possible to get much lower values. I dout there is a lot of difference between your Gengar and a perfect one with shadow claw. A 0/0/0 shadow claw Gengar is better than a perfect one without shadow claw. I have maxed 3 with shadow claw and they are awesome. The best strategy for raids is quick damage and for that these work great. I have also heard there are some Gen 4 legendaries that these will work great for.

Bottom line: Keep it and Max it

You will not get anything better unless someone trades you a SC Gengar that gets a good reroll of IVs or gets lucky. Do not swap it with anyone else's SC Gengar, on average you'll just get a worse one in the trade.

You should trade it for another Shadow Claw Gengar from July/August 2016, with someone who has less than 10 lucky Pokemon. If you can find someone, both of you will get at least 80% Gengars and can maximize them for half the stardust.

Don’t trade it. It already has 15 attack, so the highest damage potential. If you trade it and get a guaranteed lucky you could end up with 12-14 attack (but possibly better defense and stamina).

I’d keep it and power it up. It will be useful for Mewtwo raids, and in gen 4 it will be great for the lake trio, Cresselia, and Giratina raids

I maxed a 14a/12/11 and a 14a/4/15. If I had yours I would max that one, too. Don't trade it, if you don't have 100s of thousands of stardust, then power it up as a project (a very worthwhile one)
