Latios as a Physic-type attacker?

Would Latios be a viable Physic-type attacker against Machamp? His High attack with decent bulk makes him look like a good alternative to Espeon.

I have 2 lower-level friends that used their new double-psychic Latios to duo Machamp. Machamps Steel moves will put a hurting on it though

DP will do more damage than HS even against Mons that resist fighting.

Edit: Whoever downvote me without checking, here is a quick math lesson.
Damage is proportional to power*STAB*effective.

DP: 90*1.2*0.71 = 76.68
HS: 70*1*1 = 70
DP does ~10% more damage than HS against Mons that resist it. HS has a faster cooldown and when taking that into consideration they are roughly the same.

Unfortunately not, Latios' Physical Attack stat is significantly lower than it's Special Attack stat. If you want a Physical attacker against Machamp, Rayquaza with an Attack stat of 150 will do better.
