Lapras Duo Advice

I would like to go for a Lapras duo recently, but not sure if my team will qualify. I have 3 maxed Machamp, ADS 151514 C/DP, 151511 C/DP and 141311 KC/DP. Lacking any leveled up Raikou (out of 10 only 2 of them know Wild Charge, which are both from research with awkward iv), my hope remains on the Clear weather boosts. I have 2 maxed K-Eggy, a perfect one with Confusion/Solar Bean and the other 141315 with BS/Seed Bomb. I also have a maxed 151115 Venusaur with VW/Solar Beam (missed its CD, no FP). Those I would consider to be the most relevant counters. Besides, I also have a level 35 BS/LB Sceptile, 2 BS/Seed Bomb A-Eggy both between level 30 and level 35 (only shine facing double water Lapras) and a maxed perfect Zapdos with CB/ZC. Right now I'm Ultra friend with my wife, whose team content is similar to mine but a little weaker (on lower level). Do you think we could be able to duo it? What if we reach the Best friend tier?

With that many grass, Blizzard is probably out of your range. Best friend will definitely help. Vs Blizz Rock TTars should help.

Machamps are safest option

I also have 2 maxed SD Ttar, 151115 and 130910. But isn't Rock weak to Ice, or I get it wrong that Ground is weak to Ice? I only remember Golem is easy kill to Articuno.

Golem is weak to Ice because Ground typing. TTar is Dark/Rock, so takes neutral dmg.

I did a duo with my daughter in cloudy weather once, and we won with 30 seconds left. We used 3-4 Machamps each, and filled out our teams with C/DP Hariyamas. That's the most straightforward way to do a duo.

I don't think your team will do it in clear weather. The BS/SeB and C/SoB Eggys are just not good enough. They need BS/SoB to be viable. The Sceptile and SoB Venusaur are borderline.

Cloudy weather makes it pretty easy, but it's tougher in clear weather, and I don't think you are quite there yet.

That's good to know. Cloudy weather only happens in early morning at where I live. Clear dominates the rest. But maybe I can give double water Lapras a try?
