Lapras... 87% fb/b or 89% is/ib?

Lvl 33 trainer. I'm in Arizona and don't see Lapras wild. I've had great luck hatching though and have 5 on my team (1 IS/IB already powered to lvl 30, and 2 w/ dragon pulse). I don't like partial power ups, and I have the resources to take one of them to level 30.

It looks like you have a defender Lapras at 2531 already with is/ib. If you have one to defend, then get one to attack with. No need to use a Lapras to prestige, as cloyster works in that role.
I'm assuming your resource limitation is your lapras candy. If it is dust, there is a snorlax defender than needs it first.
Defender first, no question about it. Attacking Lapras is nice to have, but totally unnecessary with cloyster so easy to come by. Basically the same ATK stats, more potion efficient, and you don't need very high CP to take down even 3500 dragonites.
You're very fortunate to have an 89% IS/IB Lapras. Such a beast.
I prefer attacking Dragonite with Dragonite than Lapras.
You kill them much faster. Obsiouvly you die faster but I have several offensive dragonites and a lot of potion/revive so I dont mind.
So I would go for this beauty of 89% IS/IB.
I would actually max out all the defenders you listed.
Poliwrath and slowbro are low on CP but htey are good defenders and I love them.
Gyarados is a bad defender but maxing one B/DP is fine for when you need a high cp one.
