During the first round with Kyogre, my best catch was a 93% with 15 Attack. When Kyogre raids ended, I powered him up to level 30. Today, I caught the elusive 2328. Both are WF/HP. I will be powering up the 100% (I currentlyhave 106 candies, plus another 250 RC on hand). The question is, do I keep them both as WF/HP, or is there a benefit to changing one of them to either Blizzard or Thunder? I realize that HP is the best attack, but are there any niches that would be filled with a different charged attack for this guy? I have a good supply (50+ each) of FTM's and CTM's.

Other top tier water attackers include 100% and 96% WF/HP Garys at level 35.

First of all, congrats and I'm pretty jealous. Secondly, WF/HP is pretty much the way to go. Had they kept Dragon Tail in its movepool a DT/BZ Kyogre would make a formidable dragon-slayer, but without it it's pretty disappointing. Thunder isn't a great move to begin with, you'd be better off using actual electric types in its place.

No problem in having multiple WF/HP Kyogres though. Come Regirock you'll want as much DPS as possible.

If they ever allow legendaries in gyms, Kyogre with blizzard might be pretty terrifying. As an attacker though, hydro pump is the way to go.

If you get a strong (means rain buffed) Kyogre and it has Thunder, keep it around for a while, because it makes a good Tank against Blizzard Kyogre or HP Kyogre as a raid boss. But I wouldn't use a TM to take one to Thunder unless I has something like 20 CTMs. And once Groudon (not sure, but fingers crossed) comes back after Kyogre goes away, you'll want all the Hydro Pump Kyogres you can get.
