Congrats on the rock. I'm still waiting on my first upgrade.

Slowking will go further in CP if you choose to evolve that one.

Politoed is useless. Slowking is a little better, but that's not saying much.

Their first generation counterparts are better in all regards.

Slowking will have higher CP so you can use it as an attacker, and depending on your local gyms can be a defender. Politoed will most likely just be a prestiger

Congrats I only got 1 kings rock and so many dragon scales at least ive gotten more metal coats.

Can I give you guys one of my 10 rocks. It seems too good to just toss but I don't need 10 Slowkings or Politoad. In your case Slowking. It's a much better Mon than Politoad.

Need an upgrade, yet to get one.

But Slowing is a slightly better option for the rock

I went with Slowking because I wanted one with Fire Blast. The move is neither good for attacking or defending but I just wanted one for the novelty of a water type using a fire attack.

Give that rock to Tyrone Biggums. He know's what to do with it Joe Rogan

They are both lousy in battle. Just for dex entries. Make the Sloking first, imo - Slobro is also kinda weak, while a Poliwrath with double fighting moveset has some relevance in the current meta. So unless you have an abundance of good fighting attackers, making a politoed wastes 125 poliwag candies that youve got a more pressing need for.

Funny! I also got my first King's Rock today, but that was after getting 23 other evolution items, most of which I can't use. I will be evolving my first Slowking first and then Politoed when I get a second King's Rock, which hopefully won't take me another two months to obtain.

These two are good only to fill pokedex. Slowking is slightly better but not too much. Fill your pokedex and throw this item away.
