Kingler

Not in a raid. You can use him against gyms when you dodge all, otherwise he is too squishy.

Its stamina is also very low and its move set is subpar. If you like him I would use him he could be useful in the current new metagame. Ive been using jynx, houndoom and polywrath because I like them.

He's pretty good but he's a glass cannon vs stuff that could tear him down. I used him vs Vaporeons in gyms before and he'd usually grant me victory even if he was way lower in CP than the Vaps, but I have yet to have used him vs any bosses. I wonder how long he'd stay up vs a boss Vap.

I was looking at this the other day and I noticed that Kingler's best charge move is Vaporeon's worst. If he had better moves, he could probably vault up the list.

Water Pulse:
Vap DPS 28.13
King DPS 33.13

Gyarados' moveset combinations all do higher damage overall than Kingler's best moveset Bubble/Water Pulse, except Bite/Crunch and Dragon Tail/Crunch.

Gyarados' much higher stamina also increases its durability significantly, especially as an attacker since you won't use it to fight an electric type which exploits its double weakness.

If Kingler has Hydro Pump, then it would be a different story...
