kingdra question

sorry for another question about Gen II!
Just trying to understand how to save my candies.
Will kingdra evolve from horsea or seadra?
It makes quite a difference because if kingdra evolves from horseas I will save up my good horseas now.
If it evolves from seadra then I guess I might as well just evolve a few horseas into seadras now.
Thanks all!

It evolves from Seadra

Horsea --> Seadra --> Kingdra

Yup. I'm sure it will be a strong one - it resists steel and will (probably) have access to STAB dragon moves, so it should be good against Dragonite. Also, it's only weak to dragon and fairy, so it'll probably be a good defender too.

Slowking does not evolve from Slowbro though, in case anyone is wondering. Slowking evolves from Slowpoke when a Shellder bites its head instead of its tail.

Slowbro and Slowking should have the same CP in Pokemon Go. In the main series, their stats are the same except for their special defence and defence, which are just switched around, and won't make a difference in Pokemon Go since the higher stat is weighted more, which results in the same value.

As for moveset, their damaging moves are more or less the same, the difference is in their status moves, which aren't implemented in Go anyway.

Dont trip potato chip. Slowking aint all that might be a downgrade.
Kingdra will be double resistent to water and fire so it should be an amazing gym trainer as well as general all round attacker.

And it will be probably at the cost of 100 candies.
I have a Horsea nest near my job, I've spent my last two weeks lunchtime farming candies. I have 350 already :D

How in the world do you people find so many 100% IV pokemon?

It's a 1 in 4096 chance at a 100% pokemon (1/16 cubed). To get 4, you'd expect to need over 16000 horsea catches. There's no way you've caught that - I doubt anyone has even caught 2000 horsea...

I've not caught a 100% pokemon yet, but it's not surprising given the total number of pokemon I've caught (3240).

This is also what i been wondering.
How....the fuck....they find so many 100% iv pokemons.

Yeh, IV scanners and GPS spoofing...

However it used to be easier to get high IV mon due to the pokedex value allowing for increased att stats. Higher pokedex meant a higher chance to get 15 attack IV. Which is why it was so rare to see good IV bulbasaur, squirtle etc..

Kingdra will come with 100 candies cost evolving Seadra.

Good attack, good defense, weak only to dragon and fairy, resistent to almost anything in the game. Brace yourself man.

How is everyone so sure it will cost only 100 candies to evolve??

We currently have all 3-evolutions (aside from the 3 noob-lines) costing 25-100.
The first stage now costs 50. Why would it necessarily be 50-100? Why not 50-200? Or will the 50 be reduced to 25 when the second evolution comes out? In that case there is reason to not just evolve the good Horsea now, as it will cost half as much later.

It could potentially be 75 candies too, if you consider that a 3 stage evolution currently costs 125 candies in total.

They might not reduce candies for the first stage evolution because there'll probably be a ton of people complaining over 25 candies because they evolved a Horsea/Zubat right before an update.

This is possible as well.

I agree with the consensus that 100 candies is the most likely, but many people keep acting like it's a sure thing. It isn't.

I hope its stat is equal to or higher than Dragonite if I have to spend more than 100 candy.

I'm most excited about Kingdra. A dragon who isn't Lapras fodder. I have a Seadra with Dragon Breath/Blizzard. I would love that moveset on Kingdra as well.
