Kabutops use - Stone edge compared to Golem / Rhydon

With the recent buff to kabutops and similar attack and defence stats to Rhydon. Would a stone edge kabutops be considered due to the better typing of kabutops? I.e not double weak to common strong water types and resistance to ice unlike golem / Rhydon.

FYI Omastar is rated 9.5 with same typing but with hydro pump instead of stone edge.

Thoughts??
