Kabutop vs Tyranitar

I trained at a level 3 Valor gym last night.. Snorlax, Exeggutor, and Tyranitar. I put in 2 Lee's, for the snorkax, venusaur, and victreebell for eggs, and a 1700 kabutop. Fury cutter/ ancient power. Tops cut through Trex like butter. I have another tops with mud shot/ stone edge. This one is at 1400. Does he have a chance at all? Still double fighter damage right? Is stone edge better charge than ancient power against Trex?

So, bug and ground would deal x1.25 damage to TRex (fury cutter, mud shot). I don't thing either rock charge move gets a boost...
Rock smash would get x1.56 against TRex, as a fighting move. None of the moves you listed are double super effective.

Primeape would be a much better prestiger against Ttar. It resists both its STABs and hits incredibly hard with Counter/Close Combat since they're doubly super-effective.

You use Venusaur and Victreebell for Exeggutor? Where did you learn how to counter types, from Ash Ketchum?

I went back and double checked that gym. It was a Rhydon. I had to go check when I read your comment. I knew I used the Venus and bell because they are named 1victrhylem and 1venrhylem.
