Jynx is hopeless as a defender, easily countered with Dark, Rock and Steel and others.

  • Umbreon
  • Scizor
  • Steelix
  • T-rex

It outputs a ton of damage, but it is also easy to counter.

Too many weaknesses.

Umbreon, Tyranitar, Lapras, Vaporeon, Slowbro, Flareon and others simply counter/soft-counter it.

what is the point , the high turn over gym is for suicide defender and in case you feel lucky high level blessy or snorlax ( may be some lazy trainer will avoid it ) , other than that no use of any defender as it will come back to you in an hour and need revives and potion

You are right, its suicide.

Thats why im looking pokemon that could deal more dmg versus top attackers: Dragonite, Machamp, Vaporeon, T-Rex.
Pokemon that would eat my potions in slower rate.

Jynx can still reach "magical" 100hp so i could revive it up and use one yellow potion.

If Jynx just performs well enough vs top attackers????
If attacking players are arrogant and use top attackers no matter of defender.
I know it doesnt perform well vs T-Rex, but only pokemon that performs well vs any attacker is Blissey and it eats potions so fast.

And i dont mind if they use counters vs Jynx, i like idea to force them use other attackers than just top tier ones.

I tryed Cloyster alrdy with best defense moveset and it just doesnt perform well enough.
My cloyster have best defense moveset but only 80hp.

I dont have jynx to test it out personally.

Isnt there some ice event coming up?
I guess i try get one good jynx and then test it out how it performs against top tier pokemons.

I do not totally disagree with your take for your position if you choose to use Jynx. In regards to top attackers it should be noted that an attacking Blissey moves through it very easily too and I use a Blissey commonly for 3-5 "off brand" defenders that cannot stop her now a days. I imagine that quite a few trainers would do the same thus negating the purpose you are seeking in terms of attackers and relevant damage.

That is true , in the rare case of one defender and not within the big four , I usually use blessy or snorlax , hell I even use blessy on dragonite can take 2 3k while she is 24ish

I would suggest Machamp or slowbro then , I think they have better chance than jinx

It depends, how good can you dodge?..She get hit and it's see you later.

He is considering it as a defender, so his doidging is not relevant really
