I have an 84% Jynx with Frost Breath/Avalanche. Worthy of the dust to go from Lv. 20 to Lv. 30 specifically to kill the ubiquitous Dragonites around me?

120k dust banked. I have a 87% Lv. 27 Swinub and enough candies to evolve the next time I'm usin an XP egg. Pilowsine is comparable or even better? What moveset should I be hoping for?

Piloswine's better in my opinion since it has more HP so it'll do more damage before fainting than a Jynx will, useful if you're facing multiple Dragonites or happen to miss a dodge.

Also Piloswine has a higher chance of getting the moveset you want, because both quick moves are ice and perform similarly, while Jynx only has 1 ice type quick move. On both you definitely want Avalanche, but Stone Edge is okay on Piloswine, same with Draining Kiss and Psyshock. Avalanche is much better, but it doesn't make them unusable if you don't have them.

If youv'e got lots of Swinubs in your area would say just evolve any high level Swinub until you get the moveset you want, you'll save yourself dust from not having to power up. Where I am, Piloswines usually take up 4 or 5 of the 9 nearby slots, but it might be different for you.

Both are neutral against flying. Jynx has a much higher attack stat, so she is better when dodging. Anyone with double ice STAB is good against Dragonites.

Edit: I think gamepress' damage chart is off. Piloswine is resistant to flying.

You're right. I was thinking of the reverse, flying type Pokemon resist ground type moves. Ground type Pokemon don't resist flying type moves.

In case you did not read the question, or you read it and did not understand it, i want to point out, that the op already has got a jynx with the desired Moveset.

The point I'm making is that it's easy to evolve any high level Swinub from the wild and get a decent moveset and therefore save dust from not having to power up this Jynx when Piloswine is effective enough.

Both quick moves are good and only one charge move is bad.

Not a ton of swinub around, and except for a fleeting nest I've only seen 2 Jynx my entire time playing. Shellder are pretty rare and I've never even seen a Lapras

She is hideous and looks like Medusa, but she's also the best ICE attacker? Up to you she's an eye sore, but she's pretty strong now. I'd rather use Cloyster, Lapras, or Piloswine.

Yes. Try it on ZH Snorlax also. (Either way, you will need to be moderately proficient at dodging.)

Personally I'd save my stardust. Not sure about where you are, but Jynx's are fairly common where I am, I've picked up a couple around lvl 28-30 with double ice moves. Also, as has been said, Piloswine is probably just as effective and generally quite readily available. Plus having attackers at prestiging level is just as useful as having them maxed out, so I'd keep her for that.

Think about the cp range that you want before powering your mon up. If you want a prestiger you need to decide that first.

I would power it up straight till level 30. It would still earn more than 500 Points prestiging as there are relatively few small dragonites found in gyms, and it simply kills faster.

I play in the center of a major city, so it seems like prestiging or not the gyms will go down quickly. I assume my only shot is to get as many gyms in a small amount of time, hence the need for dragon killers
