I didn’t notice if he was boosted before I caught him, and not sure yet how to tell. Weather was sunny when caught. Water types boosted in sunny weather?

Click on the little weather symbol in the bottom right corner of the screen, and you get a message pop up about the conditions like this one

Yeah I saw that but the Boosted Types part was empty. Now it’s populated. So it would be the Ground type of the Wooper that may have influenced level, since water is boosted in the rain (go figure :)

All the boosted pokemon I have cayght so far are at least above 66%. Maybe you can't get bad IV if weather is boosting it.

Absolutely. A huge game changer. Now people don't have to stardust everything up, you can catch something at level 35 (or maybe more) and just evolve it. Sweet.

Seems to also work for raid bosses (level 25's instead of 20). That's equivalent to 31k stardust and 28 candy. If it's a legendary in question that's like getting 28 rare candies for free. Not bad!

Just caught Level 35 Poliwrath 98% IV. Definitely a game changing enhancement .
